WestJetWestJet added 11 new U.S. and international destinations to its non-stop flight schedule on Wednesday. While most flights will originate from Ontario and western Canada, Winnipeg was also graced with flights to warmer destinations for the winter season.

Beginning December 7, 2009, Winnipeggers will be able to fly to Cancun non-stop for $225. Seems like a pretty good deal. The flights will be available twice weekly.

WestJet also increased the frequency of its direct flights from Winnipeg to Orlando from twice weekly to three times weekly beginning November 1, 2009.

Along with Wednesday’s announcement, the airline also introduced non-stop flights to Cuba, Turks and Caicos, Bahamas, St. Martin, Hawaii and others, available from various Canadian cities.
