The Winnipeg Goldeyes are back in town this weekend, but only for a few days. The team will take on the Gary SouthShore RailCats tonight, before heading south for an eight-game road trip to Schaumburg and Fargo next week. Following tonight’s game will be another set of fantastic fireworks from Archangel Fireworks. If you miss the fiery display, perhaps Global TV will show highlights on their late-night newscasts like last time. Game time is 7 p.m.
Following the action on Saturday, fans are invited to stay in their seats to watch “Kung Fu Panda” on the ballpark videoboard. They’ll also have the opportunity to move down to the field if they wish. Popcorn, candy and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Game time is 6 p.m.
Sunday’s game will be a matinee at 1:30 p.m. with an appearance by local illusionist Brian Glow. There is also a plan in the works to have Don Cherry throw out the opening pitch, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet.
