Cowboys are gearing up for this year’s Manitoba Stampede and Exhibition, which takes place in Morris beginning on Thursday.
The four-day event doesn’t officially start until July 16, but a Stampede Kick-off & Steak BBQ will get underway at 6 p.m. on Wednesday in downtown Morris.
The Stampede features some of the top names in bull riding, bronco-busting, tie down roping, bareback riding and steer wrestling circles, and attracts participants from all over North America.
At noon on Thursday is the 2009 Media Challenge Bull Riding competition. If you want to get a laugh at the expense of some of your favourite media personalities, head on out there.
