Over 100 Local Cats Find New Homes

July 13, 2009 7:06 AM | News

KittenOver 100 cats were adopted since the beginning of the Winnipeg Humane Society’s four-day sale. From July 9 to 12, all cats were available to be adopted for only $25.

The low fee included feline leukemia/FIV testing, spay and neuter surgery, microchip, tattoo, first vaccination, de-worming and 6-weeks of Pet Secure Insurance, and two-week health check.

The WHS didn’t say whether they would carry this promotion over to other weekends, but it’s hard to imagine that they wouldn’t. The success of this brief sale helped find homes for many deserving pets.

On average, 19 new cats are dropped off at the Humane Society each day.
