This is a story that probably wouldn’t happen in Canada — although, you never know these days.
A 53-year-old woman in Tampa was shot in the lower leg while sitting on the toilet in a hotel restroom. It all happened when the woman in the next stall had her handgun slip out of its holster and fall to the floor. The holster — attached to the woman’s belt — came loose when she lowered her pants to, well… you get the idea. The firearm discharged upon hitting the ground.
The gun’s owner had a concealed weapons permit, and charges may be pending.
