Pet-Only Airline Takes Flight

July 14, 2009 6:06 AM | News

Pet Airways

Beginning today, Pet Airways will take to the skies for weekly flights to and from five airports in the U.S.

The airline allows cats and dogs of any size to travel in style and comfort in the main cabin, and not in the cargo area like most airlines.

The carrier will not transport humans, other than crew and attendants to look after the pets during the flight. Human passengers will need to take their own flight to meet their animal.

One-way fares start at $149 and have been selling out quickly. There is even a waiting list for some routes.
