Two-Year-Old Child Drowns at St. Malo Provincial Park

RCMPA two-year-old boy from Kleefeld, Manitoba has drowned at St. Malo Provincial Park, RCMP said this morning.

It happened Saturday evening at around 7:20 p.m. The child was playing with other children at a nearby campsite and is believed to have wandered off. When his parents noticed he had been missing, a search commenced minutes later. That’s when the child’s body was found motionless in knee deep water next to the swimming area.

Attempts to revive the child by paramedics and family were unsuccessful.

The child’s name is not being released. The investigation continues and is being treated as an accident at this time.
