The Winnipeg Goldeyes roster is officially full for the first time since June 27.
The team announced today the signing of relief pitcher Jon Huizinga.
Huizinga, 29, came in from a trade with Calgary of the Golden League. In 21 games for the Vipers, he was 1-1 with five saves and a 5.29 ERA. He’s currently in Kansas City with the Goldeyes and will start on the field tonight against the T-Bones.
Huizinga is familiar with Winnipeg, as he played for the Vipers in 2006 when the team was part of the Northern League.
The Goldeyes return home next Tuesday to open a six-game homestand at Canwest Park.
