The male driver of a Toyota Highlander SUV is dead after striking a lamp post near the Wilkes overpass on the Perimeter Highway, RCMP said this morning.
It happened at around 12:30 a.m. today when the vehicle erupted into flames after making contact with the post. An off-duty RCMP officer was the first one on the scene.
The investigation is continuing and no name has been released.
