U of M Bisons Talk About Upcoming Season

University of Manitoba BisonsUniversity of Manitoba Bison Sports unveiled the 77 student athletes who made the list of 2008-09 CIS Academic All-Canadians on Tuesday. Among the recipients were women’s track & field athlete Diana King and women’s volleyball player Erin Nieuwenburg. Both ladies managed school and athletics in a way that saw them pick up the prestigious honour during all five consecutive eligible years.

Ticket packages for the 2009-10 season were also announced, and include the always-popular All Sport Season Passes. An adult pass will run you $50, with $25 being the price for both youth and students. Families were not left out, making available two adult and two youth passes for $99.

Women’s soccer head coach Walt McKee also spoke about upcoming training camp, which will see 30 players take to the field on Tuesday, August 18. From there, cuts will be made in time for the season opener in Regina over the August 28-30 weekend.
