Macdonald Youth Services (MYS) will mark its 80th anniversary on Thursday, September 3 and they’re inviting everybody down to celebrate the occasion. All youth, families, staff, volunteers and the community are asked to join MYS at its headquarters at 175 Mayfair Avenue on the 3rd.
“MYS has served Manitoba youth and families for 80 years, helping them overcome crises and take remarkable steps to better their futures,” said Dr. Erma Chapman, Executive Director at MYS. “Thursday will be an exciting day of fun and games for everyone as we celebrate and honour what MYS has done for our community.”
“It’s going to be a great event, with carnival games, food, cotton candy, music and an interesting archive on MYS’ history,” said Philipa Caplan, Donor Relations at MYS. “We hope to have a lot of people join us as we mark this important milestone.”
For 80 years, MYS has been a staple in the community, helping children, youth and families to grow and heal through safe, caring, respectful and collaborative relationships.
