Aerosmith’s Winnipeg Show Officially Cancelled

August 14, 2009 7:50 AM | Entertainment

Aerosmith - ZZ Top

Aerosmith fans will be jaded after hearing this news — the band has cancelled the remaining dates on their summer tour, which includes Winnipeg.

Earlier this month, the band’s promoter said the show — which also features ZZ Top — would be postponed for a later date after frontman Steven Tyler injured himself in South Dakota when he fell off the stage.

But now the make-up date is unlikely, as Tyler’s injuries prove to be more severe than originally suspected.

The cancellation also affects concerts in other Canadian cities, such as Regina, Vancouver, Toronto and Ottawa.

About 10,000 tickets were sold for the Winnipeg show Canad Inns Stadium. Ticket refunds will be available at the place of purchase, a statement said.
