The rumours are continuing to fly surrounding who will be the new co-host alongside Dave Wheeler on Power 97 next month. On Monday, we reported that Jimmy Mac was a possible contender. The station denied that fairly quickly.
Now another name has popped up with a Winnipeg connection. Her name is Rena Jae — formally of The Goat 106.1 in Lloydminster. According to a source, both Wheeler and Phil Aubrey from Power 97 used to work at The Goat, and specifically with Rena.
To make things even more interesting, an ad has recently appeared online looking to fill Rena’s old job.
We contacted Power 97 for comment and are waiting to hear back.
UPDATE: The station did not confirm or deny this rumour, but rather said, “No comment.”
