Beginning Sunday, August 23, the Louise Bridge will be closed to vehicles at 7:00 a.m. through to Saturday, August 29 at 7:00 p.m.
Crews will be completing maintenance work, repairs, and asphalt resurfacing on the bridge deck, and asphalt resurfacing of the roadways on each end of the bridge.
The west pedestrian sidewalk will remain open while work continues.
A select number of Winnipeg Transit routes will be affected due to the closure, including: 44 (Plessis Express), 44 (Grey), 46 (Transcona Express), 47 (Transcona) and 48 (McMeans Express)
All routes will re-route via Higgins, Annabella, Disraeli Freeway, Talbot/Midwinter to either Nairn or Talbot.
