Training camp began last Friday for the Manitoba Bison football team, and head coach Brian Dobie couldn’t be more impressed.
Dobie said today he’s pleased at both the talent level and the attitude of this season’s players. A decision has already been made to start quarterback Nathan Friesen in Regina on September 4. Questions came up about making that decision at such an early point, but the coach said they’ve had a much longer period to evaluate.
Watch:
Fifth year quarterback John Makie returns this season as a new addition to the Bison coaching staff. Makie will work with the quarterbacks and replaces Stu Heaton.
The first homecoming game of the season will be September 19 against UBC.
