Winnipeg Twestival 2009

Winnipeg’s first ever Twestival is set and ready to roll on Saturday, September 12. The event will see local Twitter users meet up and help raise money for Siloam Mission and Sage House.

Similar events will take place the same day around the world in support of local charities.

The day will feature entertainment from local musicians, including Abstract Artform. Non-perishable food items will also be gladly accepted.

Registration is $10 until September 1 and sign up is available online. Regular registration is $20 thereafter.

Ticket purchase is not mandatory, so any donation will be accepted to enjoy the events that day.

Twestival will run 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Boyd Autobody and Glass, 2140 McPhillips Street.

Follow @twestivalwpg on Twitter or the Facebook page for more updates as they become available.
