Adam Pacman JonesUPDATE: Jones will not join the Blue Bombers after all.

Former NFLer Adam “Pacman” Jones is coming to Winnipeg, which means all local strip clubs have been put on alert.

Jones will join the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in a one-year deal, according to the website SI.com, and could be on the field as early as Wednesday.

Two years ago, Pacman was involved in an altercation at Minxx strip club in Las Vegas. Bouncers tossed out Pacman and his crew, and moments later a lone gunman opened fire outside the club. Bullets struck two bouncers and a female club patron.

Pacman pleaded no contest in the ordeal in late 2007 and received a one-year suspended sentence. In April 2008, he was able to pick the alleged shooter — Arvin Edwards — out of a lineup.

The new Blue Bomber hasn’t put this incident behind him just yet, because he is a key witness in Edwards’ trial next February.
