After their season came to an end last night with a loss to Fargo, there’s at least some good news coming from the Winnipeg Goldeyes today.
For the fifth time in eight years, general manager Andrew Collier was named the Northern League Executive of the Year.
“This award could have been won by any number of deserving people, so I am equally flattered and honoured,” said Collier. “To work with the best staff in professional baseball, one that works hard year-round to put on a good show, is truly a pleasure. It’s even more of a pleasure knowing we get to do this for the best fans in baseball, who came out once more and supported us in such amazing numbers.”
This season saw 278,099 fans pack Canwest Park — which is the most out of any team in the Northern League.
Thanks for the great season, guys!
