Bisons Hope to Secure a Win at Home Opener

September 15, 2009 1:20 PM | Sports

To say it was not a good week for our Manitoba football teams would be stating the obvious. After an embarrassing loss at the Banjo Bowl, the Blue Bombers could not put enough points on the board to fend off Saskatchewan. It was a similar situation for the Manitoba Bisons football team with a 41-7 loss to Simon Fraser last Friday during game two of their season.

Head coach Brian Dobie hopes to turn things around this weekend on home turf.

The Bisons play their home opener this Saturday against the UBC Thunderbirds. Game time is 2 p.m. Come early for 2009 Homecoming Game celebrations, including entertainment for the entire family and a tailgate BBQ. Gates open at 12:30 p.m.
