Dog parks in the city are becoming a thing of the past, as more empty space is being sacrificed for development or other recreational use.
According to dog owners, Kilcona Park may be the next to forgo its area for pets. On Saturday, September 26, dog owners are encouraged to come out at 11 a.m. in support of preserving Kilcona’s space and making sure no more dog parks in the city face closure.
Located off Lagimodiere Blvd., the parking lot for the off-leash area is accessible off McIvor Ave.
