Aboriginal Personal Care Home Ground Breaking

Ground was broken on the first aboriginal personal care home in Winnipeg earlier today.

The $21-million facility on Lee Boulevard will reside adjacent to Southeast Collegiate — a school for First Nations students in the city’s south end.

The 80-bed, 52,000-square-foot home will be funded by both the province and the Southeast Resource Development Council.

Doors are expected to open in the fall of 2011.
