Park and Ride users who catch the bus from Kildonan Place Shopping Centre will now have additional parking spots made available.
The mall has more than tripled the number of parking spots transit riders may use to Park and Ride, growing the number of spaces from 45 to 156.
“We examined our parking lot usage, and determined that increasing our Park & Ride area by this amount would satisfy rider demand while still leaving plenty of convenient parking available for our customers” said Kildonan Place General Manager Peter Havens. “We are proud to partner with Winnipeg Transit on this project that encourages Winnipeggers to use take the bus.”
101 spaces are available at the front of the Zellers parking lot near Regent Avenue West, while another 55 spaces are located in a lot at the far east side of the mall.
