Final attendance numbers have been compiled for every team in the Northern League and the Winnipeg Goldeyes have claimed top spot.
The Fish drew an average crowd of 6,180, which ranks them first in their league, and 26th out of the 267 teams in 31 leagues that filed regular season attendances this season. The strong turnouts also put Winnipeg ahead of 12 Triple A, 27 Double A and all 30 Single A-Advanced teams.
For the 2009 season, Winnipeg drew 278,099 over 45 regular season openings at Canwest Park. If you factor in the two pre-season and three post-season games, over 300,000 fans took in baseball action this summer.
Since its opening 11 years ago, Canwest Park has brought in almost 3.24 million fans during the regular season, an average of 6,542 per game.
