A Winnipeg mother and nurse, who lost everything her family had in a fire, has come up with the idea to do something that would benefit the underprivileged in the community.
Frann Martin envisioned a rock music event to support Winnipeg Harvest, and now her vision is a reality. The inaugural “Feeding the Hunger — Winnipeg Rocks for Harvest” takes place Saturday, October 10 at The Park Theatre.
“I’m delighted that this event has come together and am excited to see some great local talent rock The Park Theatre,” said Martins. “The Winnipeg rock music scene has some of the best bands around so let’s pack the house, enjoy a rock show and support Winnipeg Harvest.”
Local bands Quinzy, Sons of York and The Paps will perform, with all money raised going towards Winnipeg Harvest.
Tickets are available at Ticketmaster for $10 or at the door.
