Customers at Kildonan Place Shopping Centre are being rewarded for their good deeds leading up to Thanksgiving. From October 5-11, each customer who donates two non-perishable food items will receive an eco-friendly tote bag. Three or more items yields a $5 mall gift card.
“We spoke with the Transcona Food Bank, and discovered that their supplies were critically low,” said KP Marketing Director Corey Quintaine. “At this time of year when so many of us are giving thanks, we wanted to help those in our community who need assistance to put food on their family’s table.”
This isn’t the first time the mall has helped the Transcona Food Bank. Last month, the mall used over 100 boxes of macaroni and cheese dinner to construct a 6-foot long “KP” out of “KD.” When the sculpture was dismantled, all the macaroni was delivered to the Transcona Food Bank.
The event hopes to bring in over 2,000 non-perishable food items, all of which will go to the food bank.
Donations can be dropped off at KP Guest Services.
