Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, which means an entire party weekend is in order for those looking to cut loose.
On Friday, October 30 — also known as “Gate Night” — the Vampire Dance Party takes over the Standard Tavern at 61 Sherbrook Street.
“Vampires have emerged as Winnipeg’s hottest party people, whether un-dead or otherwise,” says Dave Shorr, the party’s organizer, “And this party is their opportunity to show to their sexy and party ‘till morning.”
Tickets are $10 in advance, available at Urban Bakery on Portage Avenue and the Standard Tavern, or $13 at the door. There is a five-dollar penalty at the door for not being a vampire.
Doors open at 8:30 p.m.
