The Winnipeg Humane Society had a stellar weekend for pet adoptions as part of a three-day sale on both cats and dogs.
57 pets were adopted on Friday, and another 79 were snatched up on Saturday. Numbers for Sunday weren’t immediately available, but the WHS says it reached a new record.
The weekend was so successful that planning for another pet adoption blitz is already underway.
5,980 incoming cats and dogs by the end of September had the organization desperately searching for new homes.
