The University of Manitoba Bisons women’s volleyball team named its co-captains for the 2009-10 season this week. Sarah Morrissette was chosen for the second year in a row, along with first-timer Ashley Voth. Head coach Ken Bentley — who is entering his 24th year as coach — says both women bring a lot to the team. Both the men and women’s teams travel to Regina on Friday for games.
As for the Bisons football team, there are only two more games left in the regular season and the Herd desperately needs to win both of them. Head coach Brian Dobie says the improvement needs to come beginning with practice. The Bisons hit the road when they play UBC on Friday, before returning for their final game at home on October 31.
