Members of Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) Winnipeg took part in a run to raise money and awareness for the Firefighters Burn Fund on Saturday. Joined by dozens of Manitoba firefighters, the group ran up Portage Avenue as part of the final leg of a 330 kilometre run which began at the Saskatchewan border.

Members of the ship’s crew, including Cmdr. Robert Ferguson, are in the city until Monday. Over $7,000 was raised this year.
