Two favourites from the Winnipeg Folk Festival’s signature summer event are making a return to the city.
Chicago singer songwriter Joe Pug will be performing at the Park Theatre on January 23 at 8 p.m. The 23-year-old has earned the honour of being compared to such greats as the young Bob Dylan. Tickets are $17 in advance at Ticketmaster or $20 at the door. Tickets can also be purchased at the Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store, 211 Bannatyne Avenue.
Singer songwriter Amelia Curran from Newfoundland and Nova Scotia was a huge hit among the summer crowds, and will now be coming back to the warm Manitoba hospitality when she plays a show on Saturday, November 14 at 2 p.m. Curran will be at the Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store. Admission is free.
