The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority will be opening weekend flu clinics beginning Saturday, November 14 at two locations: the University of Manitoba (2nd floor, University Centre) and at the Philippine Canadian Centre of Manitoba (737 Keewatin Street) from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Provincial health officials said Thursday it has received 36,500 doses of the H1N1 vaccine this week, along with 9,200 doses without adjuvant to be given to pregnant women.
39,900 doses of Canadian-made vaccine was also received, but that shipment still needs to be licensed for use on Manitobans.
Another 43,500 doses of the vaccine are expected next week to be distributed to regional health authorities.
So far, 200,000 Manitobans have been given the shot, including 106,302 Winnipeggers.
