Crosstown rivals will battle each other tonight as the Manitoba Bisons women’s volleyball team compete against the Winnipeg Wesman at 6 p.m. The women are up first, with the men’s match set for 8 p.m. Both games are at the Duckworth Centre.
Saturday night, Manitoba hosts the basketball portion of the weekend with the Bison women’s basketball team against the Wesmen at 6 p.m. The Bison men’s basketball team takes the floor versus Winnipeg with game time scheduled at 8 p.m. Both basketball games will be at Investors Group Athletic Centre located at the U of M’s Fort Garry campus.
In addition to the intense rivalry, this is the Spirit Cup game for basketball this season. Over 500 University of Manitoba residence students will be in attendance making this one of the biggest basketball crowds of the year.
