Goldeyes Set to Open Youth Camp

Winnipeg GoldeyesPast and present baseball players will gather for the sixteenth edition of the Winnipeg Goldeyes/Princess Auto Holiday Camp next month.

The one-day camp is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 12 and will take place on Saturday, December 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m at the University of Winnipeg’s Duckworth Centre.

Goldeyes manager Rick Forney will act as head instructor and be joined by all-star shortstop Wes Long, pitcher Donnie Smith, catcher Troy Fortin and outfielder Charles Peterson.

The cost of the camp is $65 (GST included) and includes more than four hours of instruction, a voucher for a free ticket to a Goldeyes game in 2010, camp t-shirt, lunch and special giveaways.

All spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
