We may not have snow just yet, but the City of Winnipeg is already thinking ahead and implementing the snow route overnight parking ban.
Effective Tuesday, December 1 at 2:00 a.m., you could end up being ticketed or towed if your vehicle is parked on a designated snow route. The ban lasts until 6:00 a.m. daily and is in effect until March 1, 2010.
Snow Routes receive priority status for snow clearing operations and emergency vehicles and are identified by “Snow Route” signs.
And unlike that outdated commercial they show annually, the snow plow will not likely drive over your vehicle.
