H1N1 Flu Vaccine VialsThe H1N1 flu shot will now be made available in doctors’ offices. Manitoba Health officials made the announcement Tuesday morning, and again, urged everyone to get the vaccination.

Dr. Joel Kettner, chief provincial public health officer, noted that people are still very much at risk of contracting the H1N1 flu virus, as well as the seasonal influenza.

With all eight Winnipeg H1N1 clinics reporting minimal wait times, those wanting the shot will likely be in and out in less time than receiving the shot as their physician’s office.

Beginning Wednesday, students, staff and faculty at the U of W will be able to take advantage of a one-day H1N1 clinic on the second floor of the Duckworth Centre, 400 Spence St., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
