December 3, 2009 7:21 AM | Sports

U of M Bison swimmer Riley Pickerl is an all-star in the pool after setting a new Bison record last week in 400m freestyle (3:57.95). Pickerl returned to university recently after training with one of the best distance swimmers in the world, Ryan Cochrane, in Victoria over the past two years.

Coach Vlastimil Cerny is hoping for big things from Riley this weekend, as he competes in the Prairie Winter Meet, which runs from December 3-6.
