If you like seeing a bat getting broken at every Winnipeg Goldeyes game, you’ll appreciate this.
The team announced Friday the signing of the man with the big swing — designated hitter Juan Diaz.
Diaz, 35, joined the Goldeyes in April through a trade with Sussex of the CanAm League.
The Cuba native batted .317 with 29 home runs and 90 RBIs.
Diaz was a two-time NL player of the week, represented Winnipeg at the NL all-star game and earned a spot on the NL post-season all-star team.
