Fatal Stolen Hummer Car Crash

Days after making a first arrest in relation to a vehicle crash that left a 47-year-old man dead last Friday, Winnipeg police have a second teen in custody.

A 17-year-old male — the alleged passenger in the vehicle — has been charged with manslaughter, criminal negligence causing death and a number of other offenses. This latest arrest is also of a Level 4 offender, which is the highest level designated to a car thief.

The stolen Hummer H2 failed to stop at a traffic sign in the 500 block of Alfred Avenue, striking the small vehicle occupied by Zdzislaw Andrzejczak.

Police say their investigation is continuing and the arrest of a third suspect is expected.
