A 40-year-old Manitoba woman is dead after a two vehicle collision on the Yellowhead Highway Tuesday evening. RCMP say the crash happened at about 6:30 p.m. when a semi-trailer truck was heading westbound on Highway 16 and lost control on the curve just east of the intersection of Highway 10.

The tractor trailer tipped onto its side and skidded into the eastbound lane colliding with a newer model Mazda 3. The two other passengers in the Mazda were taken to hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the semi was not injured.

Alcohol was not a factor in the collision and the name of the deceased isn’t being released until family members are notified.
