Man Collapses, Dies After Rollover Near Neepawa

December 27, 2009 11:25 PM | News

A 60-year-old man collapsed and subsequently died after the 2002 Buick LeSabre he was travelling in hit a snow drift and rolled into the ditch on Highway 16 December 26.

RCMP say five occupants were in the vehicle at the time, including a two-month-old baby, but were not injured. The driver — Ronald Scott of McCreary, Manitoba — collapsed outside the vehicle and was transported to Neepawa Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the cause of death is not believed to be directly related to the rollover, but an autopsy is scheduled for December 29 in Brandon.

The single-vehicle crash happened 8.5 kilometres east of Neepawa at about 11 p.m.
