Speedskater Cindy Klassen is heading to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games after a qualifying round Monday in Calgary.
The Winnipegger finished second in the 3,000 metres with a time of 4:06.08 seconds.
After taking a break to recover from knee surgery last season, Klassen returns to the oval in time to try and qualify for three other events at the trials.
The six-time Olympic medallist took home a plethora of hardware at the 2006 Games in Turin, where she set the world record in the 3,000 metres with 3:53.34 seconds.
A total of 10 female and eight male skaters will be sent to Vancouver and represent Canada. The trials to determine the team wrap up Saturday.
