If the drunk 4-year-old who went on a crime spree wasn’t enough for you, Chattanooga, Tennessee has produced another gem of a story.
Cops say an off-duty police officer observed a man trying to shoplift $2,000 worth of electronics in a shopping cart from a Chattanooga Walmart. The officer flashed his badge, but the suspect said it was fake and continued to make his way out of the store. Officer Josh Wright tackled the man and arrested him.
The suspect’s wife then proceeded to fake a heart attack as a distraction and said she did not know her husband.
“After a witness told Wright the couple had been together in the store, the wife followed the witness into the parking lot and attacked her. The witness stabbed her in the arm with a pocket knife, and the wife had to be treated at a local hospital,” reported the Huffington Post.
Police have charged the male suspect with theft and assault on an officer. Charges against the wife are pending.
