Experts Predict Popular 2010 Tech Trends

Tech experts gathered in Winnipeg Thursday to discuss the upcoming electronic trends for 2010.

During a breakfast seminar at the Fort Garry Hotel, gurus said to expect the popularity of eBooks and net tablets to soar. The future didn’t look as promising, though, for eBook readers, such as the Amazon Kindle. Apple is expected to release a tablet next week, and experts believe it will be the year’s hottest item, next to smart phones, which will also see an increase in popularity.

What won’t be hot this year is traditional media advertising, such as in newspapers, magazines or on television. Duncan Stewart, tech guru with Deloitte Canada, said advertising models will shift online.
