Manitoba Moose Taking on Kids in Game of Shinny

January 25, 2010 6:30 AM | Sports

The Manitoba Moose will take to the ice against 8-year-old hockey players from Fort Garry on February 8.

The Fort Garry Community Centre won the right to host the outdoor practice after selling the second most amount of tickets this season. It was all part of the annual Manitoba Moose Community Jersey Program.

Following the team’s game of shinny against the Fort Garry North Red & Black 8A-1 teams, an autograph signing will follow, including Moose mascot Mick E. Moose.

East St. Paul Community Centre won the contest last season, and had the opportunity to host the Moose for a pancake breakfast.
