University of Manitoba students are doing their part to raise money for relief efforts in Haiti. The U of M Students’ Union (UMSU) has started selling “I Love Haiti” T-shirts for $20 inside University Centre.

UMSU reps say all proceeds will go to the Canadian Red Cross.

Hot 103’s Ace Burpee spearheaded a similar campaign last week, raising over $20,000 for the Red Cross with his T-shirts. Moksha Yoga and The Cupcake Corner jumped on board to carry the items and help raise money for Haiti.

In a related initiative, Republic Night Club will host an array of the city’s best DJs tonight for a free benefit show beginning at 8 p.m. “Crunk for the Quake” is an 18+ event at 291 Bannatyne Avenue, with all donations going to UNICEF.

UPDATE: Kildonan Place Shopping Centre is also carrying the T-shirts in support of the Red Cross. They can be purchased for $20 at guest services.
