The Manitoba Bison men’s hockey team is halfway through their season as they take on the Alberta Golden Bears for the first time since October. The boys will host #1 Alberta in a two-game set this Friday and Saturday at Max Bell Arena.
In what’s expected to be a great fan turnout, the Bisons are ranked #2 in Canada West, with a 7-2-1 record on home ice.
Bison forward Mike Hellyer — also the team’s alternate captain — is hoping Alberta gets too aggressive for their own good and spends as much time in the penalty box as possible.
