Due to safety concerns of the Oak Point Bridge, the city is closing Wellington Crescent between Lanark Street and Academy Road at 9 a.m. Thursday.
The bridge passes over both Wellington Crescent and Wolseley Avenue West. Wolseley will also be closed under the bridge, but local access will remain intact.
Academy Road has been recommended as an alternate route for motorists.
The closures will remain in place until the safety issues are dealt with and the city is satisfied. The bridge is privately owned.
UPDATE: Feb. 11 — The city says all roads have now re-opened and the bridge satisfies safety requirements.
