A Vancouver webcam is catching the eye of Internet users this week, showing a stunning view from the Kitsilano area of Vancouver. KitsKam.com also features a blog, showcasing photos and time-lapse videos of the Vancouver skyline.
Duncan Rawlinson manages the website and uses a Canon Rebel XT DSLR to shoot every 30 seconds, which automatically uploads the images to his website.
With the start of the Olympics just one day away, the cam has been receiving views from all over the globe. Often showing the reflective lights from downtown Vancouver, it’s definitely something you want to keep your eye on over the next few weeks.
While on the topic of the Olympics, PolicyFrog pointed out Google has been mapping the Whistler mountains for Street View, which went live earlier this week. Ever wonder how they get the Google car on the slopes? It’s actually a tricked out snowmobile.
