St. Boniface MP Shelly Glover was on hand Monday morning to participate in a flag-raising ceremony to commemorate National Flag of Canada Day at Fort Gibraltar.
In 1996, the 15th of February was declared National Flag of Canada Day. It symbolizes when the red and white maple leaf flag was first raised over Parliament Hill in Ottawa in 1965, and in several hundred other communities across Canada.
