Canada’s Maelle Ricker Wins Gold in Ladies’ Snowboard Cross

Maelle Ricker is Canada’s second Olympian to win a gold medal on home soil. Ricker competed in ladies’ snowboard cross Tuesday afternoon at Cypress Mountain. Deborah Anthonioz of France claimed silver and Olivia Nobs of Switzerland took bronze.

Ricker, 31, is a native of North Vancouver and already has four gold medals in her possession from previous wins in snowboard cross at the X Games.
